Ambasador’s Message
i. As the Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and various international organisations, I am honoured, and indeed privileged, to represent our nation’s values, aspirations, and transformative vision.
ii. Zimbabwe is at a pivotal moment in its history, driven by a spirit of renewal, resilience, and re-engagement under the leadership of His Excellency the President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa’s mantra “Zimbabwe Is Open For Business”. Guided by our Foreign Policy Doctrine and the National Development Strategy II (2026–2030), the Mission is committed to revitalising both bilateral and multilateral partnerships. We aim to promote economic diplomacy and foster mutual understanding based on respect and cooperation.
iii. The Zimbabwe Embassy remains dedicated to fostering harmonious engagements, strengthening our bilateral and multilateral relations with the United Kingdom and Ireland, deepening and broadening the connections between our nations, and advocating for inclusive progress.
iv. Being A Friend To All And An Enemy To None, and with its legacy of peacekeeping, diplomacy and leadership in Africa and beyond, and given its deep commitment to regional stability, global peace and security and multilateralism, Zimbabwe has launched its bid for election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the term 2027-2028. The election takes place in June 2026.
v. Through Economic Diplomacy initiatives, the Mission has intensified the promotion of Trade, Investment and Tourism as well as other Sports, Arts, Health, Education and Cultural exchanges with the host business communities.
vi. We uphold the belief that “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo, Ilizwe lakhiwa ngabanikazi balo,” which means a nation is truly built by its citizens, hence the spearheading by the Mission of the Diaspora engagements to mobilise and harness contributions to national economic development, “Leaving No One and No Place Behind”.
vii. I extend a warm welcome to Zimbabweans living in the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as to our friends, partners, and well-wishers. The Embassy remains open to collaboration, dialogue, and initiatives that advance Zimbabwe’s interests and contribute to global peace and prosperity.
viii. Together, let us build enduring bridges and create opportunities that will uplift and improve the standards of living of our people.
